Our Seeds from the Root focus area uplifts Indigenous peoples living in the diaspora, who are often navigating loss of access to ancestral homelands.

This focus area supports reconnection through cultural preservation, storytelling, and community-led projects that honor their roots while creating space for new cultural expressions to flourish. Projects are led by Indigenous diaspora organizations and groups, with whom we co-create in partnership to ensure the work reflects their vision and leadership.

By tending to these “seeds,” we help ensure that traditions carried far from home remain living, evolving, and interwoven into the future of Indigenous identity.
